So i have a friend , also an international student but his from Korea . He texted me early in the morning saying ..
Phil : hey ariel do you love to watch football game?
Me : yea , but i have lost touch with soccer for so long since coming to canada.. anyway why ?
Phil : U know today there is a final match of Europe Champs between MU and Barcelona at 11.45. Do you have a plan to watch this?
Me : sure , i will watch the game . thanks for informing me.
Phil : so where and who are you watching it with ?
Me : i might watch at home as i dont have much friends in canada to go out and watch with plus people here are not really interested in soccer game .. most of them are CANUCKS FANS.
SO , at the end .. phil decided to come over to my place for the game as we are both new in town and we don't know much friends that watch soccer . *observation from school , everyone is into hockey ..
if your wondering WHO THE HELL IN THE WORLD DOESNT WATCH SOCCER ?! well... thats because its playoff season in canada .. and people here are very supportive to their local hockey team which is the "CANUCKS" , the only thing i know about ice hockey in canada is it started from 1924.
The local team "CANUCKS" from vancouver BC scored the winning goal at the last 14 seconds of the game got their one way ticket to the "stanley cup finals" which they havent have made it for the last 17years! Sooooo towards the locals ITS A VERY BIG DEAL they got into the finals . To show you how locals support the CANUCKS team theres a video below (Canucks sleeves like those are c$120++ = RM360! from what i've heard)
Anyway about the soccer game , my prediction came true BARCELONA WON THE GAME !!!
